Our guest speaker, Marion Sibbins, will be talking about Druid symbols and beliefs.
Marion Sibbons has been a member of the Order of Bards Oviates and Druids (OBOD) since 1995 and has served as a course tutor for many years. She is a co-founder and facilitator of the Sylvan Grove which meets in the New Forest. As such, she has facilitated seasonal ritual and rites of passage for both OBOD and the wider community and has organised and facilitated Annual Retreats.
The Sylvan Grove has also been a significant Druid presence at the Stonehenge Summer Solstice offering information and advice to the public since the English Heritage ‘free access’ policy for the celebration in 2000.
Marion composed, guided and led the Midsummer and Midwinter OBOD Gathering Rituals on Glastonbury Tor and at Chalice Well for three years. Other contributions to OBOD include assisting in the update of certain materials such as Treasures of the Tribe.
Marion has also devised and facilitated workshops relating to Druidry and been a guest speaker to various interest groups.
